I have enjoyed photography since high school. Photography took on a different meaning for me when it helped me survive my military tour in Vietnam. I sent my images home along with my letters to keep in touch with family and friends.
I am currently using a Canon 5D Mark lll digital camera and various Canon "L" series Lenses.
I received a certificate for Professional Photography from the New York Institute of Photography. I also attended photography classes at Suffolk Community College.
My photo exhibits on Reflections of 9-11, Beauty of the Land, Sea and Sky, Central Park Gates, Focus on Long Island and Tropical Island Splendor have been displayed in libraries throughout Suffolk County. Three of my photographs were chosen as finalists for the Long Island Museum in Stony Brook photography contests. Two of my photos were purchased at their Holiday Auction.
I have four photos chosen to hang permanently in the Gurwin Nursing Home in Commack, NY. My photos of the twin towers, taken a few months before their collapse, were gifts to the Smithtown and Sachem Libraries.
I photographed a product line and menu items for Sbarro's Restaurant chain in Manhattan. While I was working in the Boroughs of New York City I was able to take Landmark photos of buildings and bridges. The April 2006 cover of New York Construction magazine featured my photo of a new Broadway condo. I took the Corporate Head Shots for Total Safety Consulting. I am currently a member of the Watermark Galleries located at 220 Lake Ave., St. James, NY 11780. Phone #: 631-379-2061. web site: www.watermarkgalleries.com
I have resided in St. James, NY for over 50 years. I'd like to thank my lovely wife, Marilyn and our two wonderful daughters, Jennifer & Kimberly for being patient with me while I take that "Perfect Shot".
